About 4:30pm after a somewhat productive day at the job I went out on my bike for a ride around the pathways to enjoy this warm 75° fall afternoon. I got a goat-head in the tire and had to get the tube out to patch it because the slime wasn't plugging the leak, so that took some time and the temp's drop quickly after the sun started setting, but I keep a pull over jacket on hand for that now. This old bike I've had now for 16 years and its really starting to get worn out, so maybe it's time to find something new or used off Craigslist, as they sure do cost a pretty penny these days. I'm seeing quite a few people buying these ebikes around here, but I don't believe I'm ready for one of those yet.

Oh yeah. I just about know where they're the thickest and try to avoid them. They need to make a steel belt bike tire I keep thinking, but the green slime does work pretty well, if you can pull the goat head out without leaving the thorn. If the thorn breaks off you just about need to pull the tire and feel the inside for that thorn and get it out or it'll keep poking the tube and the slime won't seal.
