Fangs for the memories

I ran across this cottonmouth water moccasin whilst out taking photographs last summer, my german shepherd spotted him first thankfully, he was not pleased I disturbed his sunbathing and gaped open his mouth the whole time

Bad dude, They are easier to agitate in
the early spring, (bad attitude).
I never was chased River Rat, but had a few
didn't want to get out of the way, until I used a
little persuasion.

This is a fantastic shot > I know some magazine would pay money to publish it ! Enjoyed the pic as I have never seen the inside of a cottonmouth before ! I have killed quiet a few with the lawnmower It is against the law in NC now to willingly kill one as they are a protected species

Against the law to kill a cottonmouth? I would like to put one in the lawmakers pants that came up with that law. I would blow that sucker to back to it's ancestors. We have lots of snakes that we can live with.
