The last couple days I've been receiving ups packages and have one more coming.
4" hydro force
8'x16" of gold hog matting.
I'll post a picture of the complete unit soon.
It's hard to sleep right now.
I know the feeling, my mats will be arriving this week and I'm getting things put together slowly. At 2.5", my dredge won't hold a candle to your monster
On Doc's advice I ordered River hog, talon and scrubber. Since my box will be 12"x6' I had to double up on one of the mats. Doc suggested Talon, he really likes it. I'll be taping them together until I find what works best.
I'll probably start out with River Hog maybe trimmed a bit, Scrubber, Talon Talon, River Hog trimmed lower, Scrubber, Talon Talon, Scrubber, River Hog trimmed way down, Talon Talon.
Very cool, yea Docs recommendation kinda confused me a bit for mine because I pretty much copied his Monster Hog which runs a 4" dredge. In his monster hog he runs 2 cut river hogs and 2 uncut...yet he told me to only run River hog cut, talon, bedrock over and over again... Not sure what to think about that but I ordered it and threw in 2 scrubber mats. We'll see. Taping is a great idea as this mat is too expensive to buy over again.
I hear you on the price, but if it works as advertised it'll be well worth it.
No. I'm not a member of any group. I live too far away to be able to get much, if any, use out of the claims. I am going to try to do some prospecting in the Cispus r. area to see if I can find a good location to stake a claim, otherwise I'll just find open grounds to work. Since this will be my 1st time with a dredge, I'll probably stick close to home this season while learning and figuring out what works best as well as building confidence in my equipment.
A couple pictures of LRC253's monster running on private claim in Slate creek Hart's pass area. Pictures taken just before we were evacuated due to lightning strike wild fire less then a mile away.
