So...I decided to just hunt the "hi-squeaks" today. I figured there can't be all that many quarters or better.

Those coins are awesome! What are the two other coins?

Thanks! That's just two of the "president" one dollar coins. Funny thing though, they were part of a pocket spill. Can you imagine? If they started dropping these instead of quarters!?!? Lol

Hey Whadi... you snuck out and grabbed sum goodies! Iโ€™d say that was a better than average day! I know your dirty little secret with batteries so I know this newfound loot will go to good use... Great outing, glad to see you be out n about! Ddf.

Great walk in my book, congrats! :occasion14:

Most of the fields are planted, guess I will "joining" you in park and school hunting.

High tone hunts are great! Makes it a little bit easier for the keeper side. Good stuff

Looks like you found almost $8 there.
If you don't mind my saying... that's almost enough for a couple of Happy Meal's and a toy from McDonald's.

No problem here! It is a fair amount of coinage. I just don't do fast food anymore. Don't want anyone else's hands in my food. :tongue3:

All 11 nickels were in spills as well? Nice count!

Speaking of spills. For some reason, this time, I did walk over an inordinant number of actual "spills". One had almost 3 bucks in it! I wish they would make a rule that these kids be required to carry their diamond wedding bands in the same pocket as their pennies! ;)

WHADI,YOUR NEW CAR IS IN SIGHT.HOW DO YOU FIND SO MANY SITES THAT ARE LOADED WITH QUARTERS AND DOLLARS?

You know, thrifty, you're not that far off the beam. When I retired, I bought this AT-Pro. Figuring this is what I'd be doing as long as I'm allowed. It has paid for itself many times over!

About the quarters and what not? I'm not doing anything special. From time to time I just crank up the discrimination and only dig on the highs. Usually it allows me to have more of a walk than a hunt.

This time, I just blundered over many coin spills. In any regard though, I tend to walk portions of fields where others who hunt just seem to ignore. Most people just want to dig the highest traffic areas. I do that too but I also hunt slightly out of the way areas. Ones that I know would get a fair amount of traffic over a few years. Sort of long term traffic as opposed to around the sidelines, bleachers, backstop. Gotta think about how most people get to a field from the parking lot. :)

This walk? Only 3.5 hours.

Thanks!

Yeah...that battery trick appears to work, huh. :)

I'm still having problems enjoying it as much as I once did...but...could be worse.
Thanks!

Congrats! That was a well spent 3.5 hr. walk, nicely done on the higher value coin count! I think a little polishing of one of the the dollar coins and Blingie would be carting it off to his treasure room.

With less use of coins now, a spill is a treasure unto its self.
Then again maybe the parents are giving them to the kids to play with. :dontknow:

Iโ€™m liking the idea of gold & diamond rings for kids to take out side and toss around, Yep, I like that one! :headbang:

I was thinking more of how young they get married anymore. Seems like they should have diamond engagement rings by.....oh....say....10? :tongue3:
