I have always wondered about fair/carnival grounds. I have one about 20 minutes from where I live but I would imagine that there would be a lot of trash there.

The more Trash the better chance it's Scared others away.

Go for it

you hate the trash and yet it is what keeps everyone from just walking out and finding everything every time they go out, they get frustrated and quit or just disc it out, leaving it for us to sort out and find the goodies.

Way to go on that silver find! You ever wonder why often the best finds come up at the end of a hunt? I do =)

on more then one occasion, I have found my best find within a few feet of where I parked.
and yes at the end of the Hunt.
I blame it on being worn out & swinging extra slow

There is just soooooo much out there waiting betwixt and between little bits of can slaw. A lot of hunters hear that pull tab and just skip over the whole spot. They ONLY want to find the "good" stuff! Even if it means leaving stuff behind. That's OK by me. I'll gladly take "seconds". LOL

And, yep, being tired and that forcing one to swing a lil lower and slower, almost always turns stuff normally missed.

Nice hunt Jeff!

I recently got permission to hunt an OLD church picnic grove, and slobbered the entire way there..only to find a little clad, one wheatie, a couple religious pendants and a Susan B. Anthony dollar. Turns out it has been pounded pretty hard by more than one church member..but was happy to get what little I did get..I got to swing!! ddf
