I've been finding beads every time I go out. Is this a piece of flint in the first picture? Also, pottery with a design I've never seen. I'll be back at it when it stops raining! HH ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1454454915.030580.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1454454937.232344.jpg

that almost looks like a gun flint, beads could indicate a disturbed burial. where are you finding them?

Looks like a gun flint to me as well. I'd run a metal detector over that site!! Good luck.

Those are Dutch beads and I think that is a native made gun flint, they didn't take the time to make them square. You could be on top of a trade site, but I think it is the other. That it may be a disturbed resting site, but would like to see other photos of flint piece. It looks almost like the amber flint the French used. Your in a hot spot:notworthy::notworthy::notworthy::notworthy:Just mind your P's and Q's :laughing7:Pottery design is a new one on me also.

Here are a few more pics of the flint. Yes, I do know I am on a trade site for sure, see my posts from the fur trade forum and a sample pic below. I have several milk beads as well, are the big blue milk beads Dutch beads ? Thanks for the info, I'm learning daily about all this stuff! And always follow my P's and Q's!!! The last pic are my finds for today. I go daily! Id like to see the pottery up close if possible might be historical type not very old as in ancient. Ive never seen it either and I find all kinds of designs. Maybe a pic of the front and back Id like to rule out crockery which I find plenty of to. Nice pieces you have found.

No doubt you are on a trade site. Your milk beads as you call them are Dutch Dogon beads , the ones with the gold swirl are called fancy Dogons. The red bead if it is white in the center is a white heart, if it's black in the center I call them brick beads. This is a few of mine you can compare with. The gun flint is French honey flint from what I see. bead collection 001.JPG

Wow, those are amazing monsterrack!!! Thanks for the info. I have found only a few of those smaller blue black and red and white beads. The majority of the ones I find around here are those milk beads ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1454547507.423705.jpg

you do what i do...have your pieces accessible and not in frames. I like to pick them up and look at them from time to time. what is the story on all the trade items...most unusual to be in such a spot.

Nice shard pieces and other artifacts to. I use both frames and tubs so if I feel like picking 1 up I can. The pretty nice finds are under glass cause I have tile floors.
