I went back out to the soybean field from last weekend and managed to get a few more keepers. One of the first things I dug was a canadian LC it was very thin and a little rough but it looks like its a 1859. After digging a few buttons I got a pocket knife not sure how old it is but I'll take it, right after that I got what I thought was a coin signal but out popped a button and the back is in great shape it says Wadhams COE & CO with a flower on the front. It is interesting to read your post and reflect that the earliest American settlers foot prints are now just fields with buttons, coins, spoons and such as being all that is physically left of them. So, you are bringing history back to life, well done.....................63bkpkr
