Hey folks. I've been getting skunked for the last 2 months in the water. After digging out banks and gravel bars, I decided to change it up. Picked a spot in a local creek that is WAY too populated with cyclists, joggers and hikers for it to have been dredged in the last few years. Instead of working the banks and bars, I just picked a bucket sized area and dug straight down. :laughing7: After getting about 10-12 inches down and 1.5 buckets through my Jobe 48", I was able to recover around 30 colors. I also found what looks to be either silver or platinum (or lead?). I'm too new to know if that's good generally speaking, but it was GREAT for me!

I tell ya, that bazooka is taunting me BIG time.

Even the 30-40 minutes it takes me to build a new dam is worth it when I find even a couple specks. If my back could take it, I would shovel all day long. :)
