The title pretty much explains it all.
First time out really detecting, after moving from Colorado.
(Have done a couple of beach hunts, not the relic searching that I prefer).
Dug a small handful of silver, including a sweet 1926 S.L.
This bottle was sticking half out of the mud.
I believe it's a 1909 Straight Sided, clear. (Has the #247 on the bottom)
No idea to it scarcity, only saw one mention online.
Any new info would be gratefully appreciated!

Two great Cokes on this forum in the last 24 hours. The glass gods are trying to tell us something. I think I'll drink a Coke today, for good luck, just in case...

I'm not sure about the scarcity, but it's blown and slug-plated and beautiful and undoubtedly desirable.

Good luck getting settled in your new home, and Congrats on your first Florida bottle!

Nice find on the slq and the coke. The coke is definitely in the time range you stated, up to about 1915-16. Congratulations

It's a keeper and a nice find for sure. There used to be a lot of good bottles that came from downtown Tampa and Y-bor City back in the 1970s. Keep your eye out for old building being torn down. The digging is normally easy in that Florida sand. Good luck!

Man, it really did.
Down here is so much different than Denver digging.
Everyone is so afraid that you might find an Indian artifact at their construction site,
(and bring the building construction to a complete halt),
that just walking on the site to talk to someone gets you the ole brown eye.
Miss you all up in sanity-ville, Colorado.

That is a heck of a save. Love digging Cokes. Haven’t found one this year. Maybe the next pit will have a six pack! Great finds. Jgas
