Just over 5 months into an 8 month deployment. Second visit to Bahrain now and the last time we were here they wanted almost 500 US for this chest. Today it was on sale for 175 and shipping to my US address was only 35 US dollars!!! I have been wanting one for a long time and could not pass up this sale.

That is a Killer chest, I love it!! Looks like real wood? Like to see a close up of the detail....

mine is about 1/10th size of that one....Sent all my treasure in a few years ago, so starting over, refilling....

old pic, had a dummy bottom in it to make it look full...

Like to see a close up of the detail.... mine is about 1/10th size of that one....Sent all my treasure in a few years ago, so starting over, refilling.... old pic, had a dummy bottom in it to make it look full... <img src="http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=939564"/>

Be careful having them mail it to you, I knew a lot of guys that got douped overseas with that "we will mail it for you" line. Myself included have been douped by it after a purchase in Turkey. If you can just carry it back with you or send it with your squadrons stuff or something, no shipping costs at all and you can keep an eye on it.

That aside, nice looking pirate chest )

I have one almost identical that I sent home for the wife that I got at a bazar in Kabul! They do really nice wood work.
