It is only accessible by water. Even though I got there late, there were only two boaters there. Lots of beer tops, pull tabs, a couple of glass beer bottles (pigs), a few beer cans (more pigs), a length of nylon boat rope worth about $6.00, a encrusted silver ring, $1.18 in crusty clad. By noon, the area was packed with ski boats to pontoon boats. One group of Rednecks pulled up with their stereo blaring country music. Now I like Country Music but not at 12 decibles, it was like being at a rock concert. Didn't seem to bother them as they smoked their cigarettes and drank their beer, started giving me a headache and went to load up and found that some jerk ran over my stern anchor line and cut it. Retrieved my anchor and loaded up. I guess others have found my Party Island as pickings were real slim, normally finds are good.
It was a Swan Song for my Cajun boat that I will be retiring and downsizing to a easier pulling and easy on the gas boat: 16 foot Gheenoe. I'll be able to check some coastal areas without burning a hole in my wallet.
