hunted saturday and sunday ... about 3hours on sat... 2 hours on sunday

saturday i was in michigan at our cottage... area has history dating back to early 1800's
found a 'tootsie toy' car stamped chicago usa on the bottom

then just some clad

sunday at a school in the fields .. found all clad... 2 oldest coins 1967 quarter and a 1952 nickel...

there 'should' be old stuff at both places.. but nothing yet.... and i should mention the deepest things i dug all weekend were probably only at 3"

i like my new coil so far... good coverage in the field for sure.... still hard to pinpoint with it though but i suspect i'll get used to it

Great finds rdb7! Everyone's gettin' silver quarters but me!

You know someone said, "Damn, I dropped my camouflage key again!"

Did you every try the air test outside with the sensitivity maxed? I'd like to know if you bury a dime at 10" if the ACE will see it like "ding ding!"

HH!

Hi Brett,

my oldest qtr was a 67.... so no silver as of yet for me

i never did that air test outside yet... was too anxious to hunt and started swinging lol... i will do it though

i actually had a dime signal at the school that was maxed out on the depth meter... i dug a super deep plug and then the signal disappeared :(

i have to bring a pinpointer with me next time... i had to keep calling my 8 yr old over with his cheapo md so i could use his small coil to try to pinpoint lol

the army key was a neat find....

i just did some research... that tootsie toy is a 1957 'D' type Le Mans by Hot (or so i think?)

2 on ebay that are identical to mine except for color

Sorry, I just assumed everyone else in the world is getting silver quarters but me. Gloom and doom. Haha.

No problem... everyone is waiting, but go ahead and think of yourself first diggin' treasure while we're all waiting. HAHAHA... JUST KIDDING... HAVE A GREAT TIME and get to it when you get to it. I have a million promised things that may never get done... they are all favors to make others happy when I'm working constantly on keeping myself happy first :)

Be careful of those super deep signals... they might just be a tiny flake of metal on the surface or just below it. I get those a lot... I open up the hole and it's gone... only after I replace the plug does it come back.
