Eh 808Kaz, I told you "I was going to come back after lunch and finish the hole"....Nah just joking Good score and welcome to downtown digging...Now you have to pull 23 more (combination of Consolidated/Hollister/Tahiti Marble Stoppers) but only thing is that it has to be one 8 hour digging session....Then my marble stopper record in 2002 will be broken and I will concede and call you "Da Man". Eh...But don't worry because it's downtown digging and anything is possible.....Very Respectfully (V/R) Hollister Honolulu
Pulled 24 Marble Stoppers out....Next time you see or speak to Sean L., Larry K., or Milton Y., ask them about the Marble Stopper splits. Washing them was fun especially when Milton accidentally kicked over about three of them. Luckily none were broken during the cleaning. I'm sure those guys will fess-up because the mission has been declassified for several years now. I couldn't find the "Proof-of-Life" pictures but I know for sure that Sean L. and Larry K. have their pics. Fly them a kite (e-mail) and it should more than verified......V/R Hollister Honolulu
Not my personal find, but check out these pics. My friend who grew up here and used to dig with me before he moved to the mainland came into town for the holidays two years ago and on his one and only day of bottle hunting stumbled upon this when Jannette and me took him and his brother up into the mountains. He saw the end part of the Hollister embossing, but was bummed at first when I joined him, saw the propeller-type mark under the Hollister and told him it excitedly it was a marble stopper. He thought it would for sure would be minus the top, but he was super pumped that he was mistaken. ... The bottle stay in my collection now.
HawaiianBottleHunter, BuggahCHERREH told me about that find... How lucky... You can come on a vacation and find one cherry bottle like that....thanks for sharing...that's one real cherry mountain bottle...aloha 808kaz
