Have this young man I work with who kept forgetting to bring in some coins. He said these are coins he grandfather started collecting, who has since passed. Then he started saying he was going to COIN SHOOT them! I went to his house yesterday, picked them up and below is what I got. The total coinage he had was $30.45, which I took all the pennies and coin shooted them, plus added a bunch of my own pennies I had in a jar and will give him that cash for the coins I bought from him. So when I get to work tomorrow, I'll give him his $30.45!!! Thanks Kyle!!!

Now ... see the coins I got from him. Not all in the best condition, but better than not having them!!! WHOO HOO!!

The first two pics are all the coins he gave me (which I pay him back for, amount above)

The other pics, well, I am sure you can figure that out!

As for the TOUCHLESS LOVING CAR WASH token...that place is still in business in Hampton, Virginia as well as in Virginia Beach. But I don't know how old this token is. Their website states about giving out tokens...so I don't expect it to be but maybe a couple of years old. Darn, was hoping to get an out of business token!...but I won't look a gift horse in the mouth!

Thanks for looking,
Annmarie

PS: forgot to mention, I got 48 wheaties out of the pennies as well...oldest is 1918 (bad condition though)

Nice find!

Coin shooting?? Did he mean he was literally going to shoot the coins, like with a pistol or something?

That's a nice oil can!

Awww Thanks! That oil can, yellow bottle, tin with lid and glass jar are what all these coins were stored in! I get to keep those, at no charge! LOL...I actually like the tin!

Hi Ron and Ann,
Great job getting ahold of those coins!
By the way, don't worry about saving the bicentennials, unless they are in uncirculated condition. Other than that they are worth 50 cent.

Happy Hunting!

Thank you Enamel....I wish they were in better condition...but like I said before "Never look a gift horse in the mouth!"

I save Bi-centennial quarters and since he had two in half dollars....I thought I would save those. I love the design, that is why I save those! I think the back of the Bi-centennials are beautiful! Reminds me of the old coins, like the liberty's and merc's, cause they are beautiful too!

Have a great weekend!
Annmarie
