I was beginning to think that I wasn't going to be able to reach the 250 silver coin mark before the end of the year. I'm sure happy that I got 5 today so I won't have to worry about it anymore. What a relief!

I was using my F75DST with the NEL Sharpshooter search coil attached using 4H tones, 85 on the sensitivity, 0 discrimination, DE mode and 64 on the GB. All three of the silver quarters were shallow and locked on a ID of 85. The last silver dime was all over the place on the ID numbers, but stayed in the silver range. I had to stomp down the grass to get a good reading.

I did not dig a single wheat penny today, because I was 'cherry picking'.

This was my 93rd hunt for the year and my grand total for silver coins this year is 250. That's averaging a little over 2.5 silver coins per hunt.
I'll total all my gold and silver rings and other jewelry at the end of the year.

Thanks! I'm glad I set the bar too high.

Thanks! I'm ready to take a break. We have a lot of rain coming in, so no worries for me now.

talk about silver surfing---!!!WOW!!!
Thanks! I cherry picked my way across the finish line.

I knew you would get the 250 congrats
Thanks! I was starting to have my doubts.

Thanks! I'm going to worry myself with another goal. I proved that I can 'cherry pick' with best of them.

Finding one silver coin at a time adds up if you stay after it.

Yea!! Glad to see a goal crossed!
Thanks! I'm one happy camper.

Thanks! Next year? I think I'm going to go back over all those sites that I cherry picked this year and see what my Tesoro detectors can find. I won't find as many silver coins detecting behind myself, but it's fun and a challenge to go back over sites to see what I can unearth with one of my Tesoro detectors. More gold rings, relics and tokens for sure!

No I'm not! I'm not going to do that again. I could push the count higher if I wanted to. Keep in mind, I only averaged detecting 3.5 hours per hunt and averaged going detecting two times a week. 250 silver coin total was done in 93 short hunts. I'm retired, I could go twice that if I wanted to.

For land silvers that was a lofty goal and I am glad you succeeded. Congrats
Thanks!

I need to spot like that... Great job
Thanks! I have detectors trained to fetch silver. I let them do all the work and I take all the credit. LOL

You're still killin the silvers! 250 for the year?! Holy cow! I may be lucky to be at 80 or so, but still pulling some old ones. I got seated for the first time ever last month...then again a week later! Can't wait to see your totals for the year!

Thanks! Taylor if you were still here and hunted as much as I do, you'd probably find more silver coins than me. I won't be doing anywhere near 250 next year. I just did it to prove that could if I wanted to. :tongue3:
