Finally got to take the Thompson Puffer out into the field and shovel dirt into it (thanks Goldog!)
She strapped nicely to an old backpack frame and with two small Li Motorcycle batteries, she lasted the whole day.
I feel confident that I had it running proper. Lots of black sand and lead being captured.
And we got some of the yellow stuff too. small stuff and a little picker!!

I do want to modify the legs and make it where I can adjust the angle of the riffle box.
Right now it's one setting and if you have an un-level surface, there is no compensating.

otherwise I was stoked to put her in action.
PS - the "lifeline" aluminum shovel was AWESOME too!

If the riffles are filling too fast you can always adjust angle of attack with sticks or rock under the back legs in a pinch. A Picker first time out speaks for itself! :occasion14:

Looks like fun!
Where's the picker picture? Did you get a picture of the picker?

I have watched some of Mr. Soloman's videos as well as others too. Lots of great info! thanks to all!
So with all that, I had fighting chance for my first time out.
But for sure going back to watch some more videos and hopefully go again soon to put it all to use and make corrections.

Cheers all
