I would send it to ANAC's first. It's only $10 plus shipping both ways.

Once ANAC's authenticates the coin, then you can search for comparables at auctions and decide if the premium justifies the horendous fee from PCGS to send it off to them.

The one detail that makes me suspect this is legit is that the " RICA" is not mirrored. When a coin is hammered against another, you end up with a mirror image. I would also guess that there may be additional signs on the reverse.

Very nice finds there gman ! ......and hopefully the "busy doing other stuff" was fun stuff. 8)

Speaking of foreign finds, I picked up a 20 drachmai coin from Greece ('88) today.
