I went out for awhile this morning, was fairly chilly early on,but warmed nicely. Been battleing a stomach virus for a couple days, but just had to go dig awhile. I sure am glad I did now, because I wouldn't have found this neat conversation piece. It as a round ball with a brass wedding band around it. I also found some melted lead and 2 shot 3 ringers. Thanks for looking,Jonathon

Man, if there was only some way to get the story behind why there was a lead ball with an old wedding band around it. Wonder if the guy got a dear John letter from home and in disgust took off the band and wanted to chuck it as far from himself as possible, then got the idea to push it onto a lead bullet and chuck it? Guess we'll never know.
