Hi Everyone,
Been away for a bit, but diggin when I can.
Got a few items from different sites, Land and Sea.
I originally forgot to post the artillery corps militia button, (had it soaking)
A fair example of a button that I have recovered dozens of in two sizes.
Photo in bottom reply.
Wish the Enameled Barrette held up better, must have been beautiful when lost.
flat button has a neat floral backmark.
don't know what the bent copper item is, anyone seen similar :help:
Massive 'Man Size' Buckle, and decent painted 'Pepsi'
Surprised how similar the two marbles in my recent posts look,
this one is a patriotic red white & blue, the other is orange white & green.
Can't keep away from those spoons ???
Best digs to All

Not too shabby! I actually like the spoon you pulled, last few I pulled have been plain. Not to worry, next time out your gonna score 3 coppers and when you do you owe me a coke (and a nip of JD). :laughing7:

Herbie, instead of an antique store you should open a restaurant with all those spoons. Nice finds again. The brass piece resembles a patchbox cover on a PA rifle but I don't see any hinges to attach to the stock and it looks too Small. HELP Buckleboy or Hillbilly. HH, Quindy.

Thanks All,
Quindy, the copper piece is small, and complete, no signs of any attachments.

Re: Finds from 3 Centuries

Possibly the bent decorative piece is a bookmark if thin enough and originally flat. Just guessing, but if I found it, that's what I'd use it for after straightening. Cool finds! Andi

Your curved S shaped brass/copper item is a picture frame or mirror hanger from victorian times. Hung from picture frame moulding just below ceiling.

Hi Herbie!
Very interesting finds! Love the English penny, looks familiar! ;D
The curved brass piece is very strange, but decorative. :icon_scratch:

Oh yeah . . . nice Pepsi bottle, but not near as nice as my Coke bottle! :laughing7:

Hope to get back to the church site tomorrow afternoon for a couple of hours.

Have a great weekend! :icon_thumright:

Hi Testing :hello:
All spoons dug lately are silverplated coppers, (the kind that ring up nice then break your heart when you see '1862 Rogers' :laughing7: )
Better than those nickel alloy ones I guess.
Got another tablespoon yesterday, cleaned up great, a lot of the silverware in the drawer is dug, (Laurie is appalled by this habit of mine)
Been Two weeks since I found a 'Real' spoon, it was thin and plain, but early and hallmarked by an unknown (Probably local) silversmith.
