This is the first home location I’ve located using a 19th century map combined with historic aerials and google maps. The footpaths line up nearly perfectly with the roads on the map from mid 1800s. It’s funny being just off the trail in the woods about 20 feet. Still lots of ground to cover and endless nails to find. Playing with settings and learning the machine better.

My first Barber, first silver coin in quite a while, I get the excitement of pulling something shiny now.

Minie Ball 3 ring, looks like it whacked something pretty good. I certainly wouldn’t want to be in the way of that thing.

Really enjoying finding silverware to be honest, I love the different designs of them.

Also nearby was this button. Through some quick searching I found another post with a very similar button that better shows the lettering: TREBLE GILT ORANGE COLOUR. Early 1800s if I’m not mistaken. Very cool find.
