Hello Tnet Friends,
Headed back up to Marlbank, ON yesterday to hunt a farm down the road from my last farm hunt a couple of weeks ago. This farm had a house on it until the 1960's, unfortunately it burnt down and all that remains is the outline of a foundation and the stone walls of the cellar. The current owners bought the property in the 1970's and now use the land for grazing their beef cattle in the summer months. I started by hunting the castoff field stone walls that surround the property and didn't find anything except for metal trash. The wooden mystery object was a surface find I spotted as I was detecting, it has the name 'Lohman' on it. I have no idea what it is either? In the area around the foundation and the cellar I found lids from preserve jars and lots more iron! I found the two threaded lead objects in the front yard about 30' apart from each other. One has a name on it 'McClary', the other has nothing. Any help on identifying these items would be appreciated as well!
Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!
Dave
