Had time for an abbreviated hunt this PM.
Headed to a small semi-local beach.I talked to the gal on patrol there and she said that a MDer had been there earlier for about three hours.
Not to be deterred,I hit the water anyway, and after about an hour,I exited with 2.50 in clad and a nice 10k class ring.

The ring is a 2009 from a local High School.
Should be an easy find on the owner although my initial white pages search produced no-one of the last name inscribed within the schools district.

Now for my road find.
On the way home something caught my eye on the roadside.
I doubled back to find this Ipod waiting for me.

After getting home, I looked through it and it contains no personal info that would tell me who the owner is.It is undamaged and seems to work fine.Tons of music on it.....30GB.
Well, thats my short adventure for the weekend.
Best of luck to all.....Joe

Sweet finds Joe. Ain't it funny how we treasure hunters seem to see stuff wherever we go? Great find.

Thanks for the kind replys.Sounds like I might not want to download onto the Ipod....I might get nailed as a thief!
Schools in session here in another week.Im sure I can stop by the High School named on the ring and have them locate the student.Chances are that she'll lose it again as is the fate of most class rings.Oh well....its the thought that counts.

on the ipod you can go to settings and it usually says YORNAME's Ipod. Not sure if everyone puts first and last names though.

Not much time left to work the water this year (unless you like the cold). I know your eyes popped out on that ring. Great find.

I know some Junior is going to be really happy to get that ring back. You probably saved their life after mom and pop put out the big bucks for that ring with the price of gold today.

Good going.

Very nice finds! Hope there is some decent music on that IPod! Good luck with finding the owner of the ring! I'm sure they'll greatly appreciate getting it back in time for graduation.

Moon
