Finally it took me about three years to complete. Minus the 1916 which I'll probably never have! Funny how I thought it would be so easy to complete then after having kids and seeing all the expenses and everything I thought it would never happen! I bought the last one today at the coin store for $89. A 1924 D. There are some I would like to upgrade but I'm not going be too picky about it right now! Just wanted to share!

Congratulations! Very impressed right here. I've never completed a complete set of anything, so your collection is special. I really love those mini-coins. Also, have you thought about searching dateless type 1's for the elusive 1916? There are many distinctive differences between the 1916 and type 1 1917 that can be detected even in a highly worn state. I personally know someone who found one in such a way. Wish you the best of luck! Nonetheless, still complete in my book! :)

TypeCoin971793... Good advice! Many a rare coin has been found from purchases of dateless coins and searching for Die characteristics and subtleties. While the dateless Key Date coins are not worth anywhere near their Full Date twins, they are still somewhat valuable, fetch decent premiums well over what is paid for them and they make great Filler coins!

Beachkid23... Congrats on completing the SL Quarter set! That is a monument accomplishment in anyone's book and most Collectors of the SL Quarter series will agree! Good luck on finding the 1916! She is a beautiful and elusive Gal to almost everyone except those with very deep pockets but not impossible to obtain if you are up to the challenge.
