Today I went to a local park that had a tot lot section with wood chips,
I thought it would be a good starting place for the first time out with the
ace. I found the usual tabs and a few coins then I got lucky and found a
small silver and turquoise cross after about 20 minutes. Then I continued
finding foil and a dime then after 30 minutes a necklace just before leaving.
The necklace is Lind 14k electroplate though, but I was happy with the first
outing. I looked up the necklace here is the link.

I have noticed that those little yellow machines really find their fair share.

Congrats on the silver. I have pulled plenty of gold and silver from wood chips in the past. Excellent starting point.

Great finds, you can't beat the ACE 250, it is one great little detector. My first year detecting with my
ACE 250, I found over 4,000 clad coins and over 100 silver coins. I also dug up a 6 pound cannon
ball.

A lot of guys think this is a toy, let just let them keep thinking that. LOL

Good detector for the money for sure. A darn good starter machine for 200 bucks. I have done well with mine and it's easy to use

The ACE 250 is a real Treasure by its self. I have used mine for 2 1/2 years. I do as well if not better than the owners of much more expensive machines. Three weeks ago I was detecting a local park when approached by a gentelman that was using a V3. He told me that he had just covered the same ground that I was searching. He was just trying to save me some time. Within 3 minutes I got a quarter sound and up pops a 1876 Seated quarter. Didn't have the heart to tell the guy what I had found. The Ace 250 is a great machine.
