We’ve had a lot of rain lately (or at least feels that way) but I’m always ok with knowing that the ground will be nice and soft for cutting my plug. Saturday’s ground was that magical kind of wet. My first silver Saturday was a welcomed ‘41 Quarter. I had to grin when I saw the mirror image of a portion of it.

A little later I hit on a signal at the end of my swing a little to my back. “That’s strange” I thought since I should have hit it while it while coming up to it. It was a bouncy signal so I was thinking modern penny. I was a little surprised when my second quarter (‘51) popped out.

That perfectly wet dirt rewarded me with an almost perfect mirror image when I broke the dirt off the obverse [emoji3]

Two silver quarters? Shama-lama-ding-dong!! I'll take double like that any day of the week. Never gets old seeing the silver shine come out of the ground.

Hey 2 silvers in one hunt is pretty rare these days, you're having a great year so far! :occasion14:

The rain we've been getting here has made the fields in my area very sticky.
I was detecting in the woods yesterday morning just east of Markham and the buggies were already getting bad. :laughing7:

Right? Only thing better would be some gold mixed in but beggars can’t be choosers... [emoji2371]

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Thanks DRJ. Safe hunting out there!

A very nice two day hunt. :hello2: Congratulations!

The weather was good and the finds (on Saturday at least) were great. What more can you ask for.

Dave

Hi Dave

Not surprised. The TRCA land behind my house has a ton of standing water so things are obviously saturated and even in the city park I was noticing mosquitoes. Black fly season is almost upon us too. Better get out the Eau’ de Deet.

that mirror image is proof positive that silver can come out of the ground looking like new!
