Some neat old bottles I mucked around for at the shore in an area that has a history dating back to the early 1800's. From about 1850-1950 it was also used as a landfill - a fact that is very evident from the artifacts present there.
Most of these bottles are from the early 1900's.
I only spent about 15 minutes actually collecting bottles, the rest of the time I spent walking to and from the site (through mud over a foot deep in some places).
The good news is there was so much snow-melt this year that the water runoff into the ocean really helped excavate the long encased bottles.

Avon had a telephone perfume bottle, I am pretty sure that is what you have there.
Nice group of finds.

Nice finds. I tend to find bottles while walking along the bank of a creek or river. Most of the time they are early 1900's.
