First Bottles of the Year

Got out for the first time this year and found these two great bottles from around 1900 . I had to dip water out of the river in order to get the ground "melted" enough to pry the brown one out. Cant wait till it warms up a little 'cause I know there are at least three more waiting to be recovered from the frozen ground !!

Nice, is the amber bottle flat? It almost looks like a Warner's Safe cure without the embossing.

Nice looking Mason jar. I used to go to auctions in the 60's buying up old jars but after I left for the military my mom sold them all. It won't be hard to find a zinc lid to put on top of it
