I am new to metal detecting and this is my first button find. From what i have read it is not a flat button and is considered a convex button. Anyone with more expertise have anything else they can add? The front has no writing, markings, or device but It appears to have two crossed olive branches on the back and the shank is busted off. My buddy and i have been pulling a few 1800's coins from the field i found this is and he also found a spanish silver from the 1700's near by.
