Folks,
I got to hit the old ski slope today and landed the most silver coins ever for me in one hunt...five: '57 Washington, '45-D Jefferson war nickel, '43 and '45 Mercs and a '48 Rosie. Also found 11 wheats: '37, '39, '41-D, '44-D, '45, '47-D, '47, '48-D, '51-D, '54-D and '58-D. I also found some bullets and a pin.
This is a fun site.
HH!
Peace,
T-man

Nice, nice, nice, nice, and nice.
I have a perverse love for War nickels, as well.

Nice hunt....Matt

WTG Turtleman! What was the name of the ski area? I usually find a lot of coins at the area near where I live...every year! :hello2:
Potter Poker,
For now I am going to remain quiet about its name. It is on private land and have full permission but I have learned the hard about revealing exact locations and other detectorists having poor ethics. Perhaps when I am done with the place I'll post the name, location and the research I found about the place including a newspaper article.
Sorry...most people are trustworthy but a few can ruin it for all of us.
HH,

Hey T-man, I get where you're comin' from. It's a little different up here where I'm from, less population, wide open areas, very few MDer's, usually when we find a good spot in the county we immediately tell our fellow detectorists and get them to join us. However it probable makes good sense in your case. Anyway, keep huntin' and keep us informed so we can share in your discoveries. PP

Congrats on a great haul, gotta love those multi-silver days! :headbang:
