Should have posted this last Saturday. Nothing exciting really. Standard 1975 copper penny, but I found it in my backyard while getting used to my used (recently bought) XLT.

Neat thing was that I now know the difference between sounds for foil and junk and a real coin. Starting to get used to this thing and can't wait to get out there and find some serious treasure.

I just started MDing not long ago. I have found in my yard a total of 32 wheat pennies, 4 silver dimes, and a buffalo nickle. Today I just found a gold necklace wich I will post later. Anyways, some of the BEST finds I have found thus far have been in my own YARD! It is a great place to start and learn...and learn.....and learn. You will be SURPRISED at what you will find in your yard. I know I was, and even more surprised today. Keep it up, looking forward to your next post, good luck on your next hunt.
