I got the itch yesterday so I grabbed the F-75 and scratched it! The ground is still frozen here but I was able to find some good earth on the edge of a field that I have not yet hunted that was soft and diggable. I could only detect about six feet from the edge until I hit frozen ground. My first signal of 2008 was this 1840 Nova Scotia Thistle token. It's crusty but it's a good start. I got some real nice signals in the frozen earth which I marked and will return, with my hunting buddy, at a later date. Fingers crossed!
