First ever sterling ring

Went to a place that I had permission to go to awhile ago but due to the weather and school was not able to get out. School is out and it is a perfect day today so I headed down to MD.

After an hour and lots of trash I found my first silver ring. :headbang: I also found some clad and LOTS of pull tabs
The ring was 3 inches down and rang up as a solid quarter signal on my xlt

Im waiting for my dad to get home and then im going back out again. Cant wait :)

Don't ever ignore them there pulltabs,as you found out!!Musta dug 150 before I got my first GOLD.Finds like yours keep you going!!!!!Very glad for you young man,keep it up.I'm happy to see young people in this hobby.Wait till you hit your first OLD silver!!!!Nothin like it.No turnin back for ya now son!GOD BLESS,Chris

Thanks alot I really love this hobby along with coin collecting. Im trying to get out every chance I get untill I leave for college.

so many people keep telling me if you dont dig pulltabs you wont find gold. So I dig everything :icon_thumleft:

i usually detect in tone id and everytime i hear the sound of nickel or see 24 i get a rush even if it turns out to be a nickel but the next one can always be a ring . suprdave
