Hopefully I'll be able to go out today. I would rather get an AT pro now that I have used the 350 a little bit. The ace 350 has had a tough time here I wish I didn't let the sales rep push it on me. But I'll see what I can do with it here first. I love my little boy so much that not being able to go hunting is not that big of an issue

Very cute boy and yes I as well treasure every moment with mine.:).....if you decide to get the at pro try bart at bigboyshobbies.....no one beats his prices......the 350 is a great machine what coil do you have maybe a coil upgrade will help you bart sells that as well.

I have the 8.5x11 DD coil. I just got the machine, but like what was said the manual discrimination when be more helpful in the area I live in. Unfortunately if I sent it back there would be a restocking fee plus an extra 300+ for the At pro which I don't have at the moment. I will still give it a chance here with the high mineralized ground

Not sure if that model has ground balancing or not....I think you can get the 5x8 coil for 119 or so from bigboys....I got one for my at pro and it seperates trash way better....the 5" sniper coil is a little cheaper but you lose some depth which is why went with the 5x8

Yeah te ace 350 come to find out has preset ground balance instead of manual balance like the at pro. My real problem right now is all the false signals. Possible from the minerals in the ground and there is no real way to tune them out. But you may be on the right path using a smaller cool on this unit

So it turns out that the new me I received had a bad coil and Garrett sent me a replacement. Works just fine. All I have to do now is keep the sensitivity down in most parts of the area because of the high mineral content. Yay for being able to go out and hunt finally.
