My son is watching the first brush fire, this season, burn near his property. Luckily the livestock keep the grasses down pretty well around his house plus a large garden and a lot of mowing. The fire bomber flew around in case any structures were threatened but they weren't needed.

Just great. Hope it's not the start of a long summer. We're in pretty good shape here with low fire danger, but Park County already had one wildfire last month with a high fire danger alert in effect for South Park. They got some moisture so that's over, but strange to see in April.

Just the start of one of the "worst fire season predicted". Not quite sure how the remainder of the US will fair but here in the Western US prediction are pretty grim. Prayers for safety for all firefighters and those working directly or indirectly this fire season.

Everything is fine; just a sign of how dry things are around here already. My son's property North of where this pic was taken has some pretty tall and dry grass but, even if it were to catch fire, I think the structures would all be safe.
