Hi All

Have been to 9 Tot Lots in the last 2 days (my training areas as I am new to this hobby) and got my first gold a very small ring stamped 10K. I also got a surprise at another when my detector sounded off multiple tones over a large area. I dug down about 6 inches and saw what I thought was a metal bar turned out to be a putter with 5 irons and a driver lying beside it. Also manged to find $6.95 in change. Thought I would share that somewhat stange find with you. Gold ring.JPG Golf Clubs.JPG

I'm not sure that is Gold from the picture, there are lots of fake stamping going on.

I've got a few large hits at my local tot lost. I assume it's pipes or cans. I chose not to dig them as I didn't want to make a big mess over nothing. Maybe I should reconsider, not that I need a putter or a driver. Any comments?

Mariposa Gold.

Golf clubs...that's a new one for me. Found plenty of golf balls (surface) when searching parks/tot lots. Once you find a few balls you can go play golf.

Congrats on the ring. It's actually surprising what goodies you can find in a tot lot. I've found two pieces of silver jewelry (one a ring) and one gold ring in tot lots this year alone. I also found another piece of gold jewelry on the surface on my way back to my truck after searching the school yard tot lot.

I was thinking the same thing!! I get hits that seem to go on forever-I'm thinking underground wires/pipes, but wow, maybe they are golf clubs! : )

Interesting find tso and I respect your determination in digging them up!

I'm pretty sure the ring is real. One way you can check is with a magnet but a magnet will not work if the base metal is copper or brass. Could you give me a better shot of the markings . The fake markings are easy to spot.

Have found the head of several old golf clubs over the years but never the hole club. Congrats!

I would actually trade my soon to be Ex-wife for a set of clubs that have been buried.
