I went out for a couple of hours to a beach I hunt during the winter. This beach gives up the good only after good storms. It’s a hard place to hunt due to all the rocks so there’s no much competition compared to other places. Most rings come out worn/cracked or broken. This little 10k broke as soon as I tried to rub off the sand. Thanks for looking and happy hunting.

Congratulations on some more goodies. Older 10k can be funny. I have had 2 old class rings and a couple of other old 10k rings break when they were being cleaned up. My jeweler friend says it has to do with the other metals used in the alloy at the time. Thanks for sharing, stay safe and keep swingin.

I have gotten lots of broken rings at this beach and most are 10k. Due to the low gold content and being in salt water for a long time they tend to turn green. Best of luck out there and stay safe too.
