I really been having some luck this week. First I get 131 silver quarters from the bank (see bank roll post and best of finds post). Today, real took the cake!
I was hunting an old park where I have found Barbers, STLQ's, Mercs and IH's but I never really expected to find a ring.
I was on a wooded hill when I got an unusual sound from the detector. I dug it anyway. I took out the plug scanned the hole and got nothing. Then I hit the plug and it was in it. I looked carefully and saw the outline of a class ring. I was hoping it was a real one. Oh and it was... A huge 10kt gold class ring from a college that is now Texas A and I! From 1960 and it is quite heavy! No way to tell who it belongs too but it was an awesome experience to dig my first gold ring!
