Well went to a local swimming hole today. They have the pond emptied for dam repair and I have been trying to get over here. After a twenty minutes at the beach it was obvious I was not the first as I was not getting any signals. I decided to make my way to where the kids hang out and they have a rope swing built. Lots of clad here. Ended the day with just over $2.00 the oldest being 1956 and 21 were pennies. Thought my machine was broken for a minute as I kept popping out all the pennies. Seemed like every signal for a hour was a penny. Found two watches, a zippo lighter, oar lock, a few lures, and a mood ring not to mention all the damn pulltabs I dug. Well made my way to the area opposite the rope swing and got a pulltab signal but measured 8" down. Out popped a old class ring. Its I think it is a ladies ring as it only fits my pinkie and I have small hands. Dated 1954 and marked with initials EAN inside and 10K. The piece that attaches to the stone is gone. Not sure what my odds are of finding the owner on this one. This is my first gold ever as I mostly dig cellar holes. Great time and I cannot wait to go again.
