Finally back in Germany I took my 2 year old nephew out to a little hunt to show him how I go "treasure hunting" (Preparing the next generation)
We looked at a field close to the monestary site where I found the hammered silver last year but the field was a dud so before it got dark we gave the edge of the forest a swing and close to an old oak we finally found a little "treasure"
Ring is stamped 835 meaning it is probably first half of 20th century when (according to the internet) due to tax reasons sterling 925 was sometimes stamped as 835, a practice which was later discontinued.
The stone in the ring is either busted or fell out and another little rock got stuck inside...bummer..
Nothing special but a nice warm-up for the upcoming hunting season here in Europe and my nephew was thrilled..
Thanks for looking and happy hunting everyone..
