I'm searching in an empty lot that was built on in the late 1800s and probably had a business or two on it till it was all torn down. Found all modern stuff. Coins, a ring 18kt HGE and other junk. But right when I was thinking all the old stuff must be buried deeper I pull this button with 4 attachments on the ends. Like it was hooked to a chain? It's a Superior Quality button which were made between 1875-1935. Never seen one like this can someone tell what it was used for? Has two men next to shield(coat of arms) with banner over them. So there is some old mixed in with the new. I'll keep searching. Thanks

Ok. Military? Police officer? I was thinking it was a hat decoration because of the size?

Thanks Creskol. That made it even more interesting. Unless they did make a few Confederate type belts its funny to find a Union fashion belt button in Gainesville Florida.

Also found this in the same hole as button. Looks like it was a cheaply made medal pin. Its rusted out pretty bad.

I'm new to this. The only other detector I can compare it too is the Garrett Ace. Which is more of a beginner's detector. Definitely a step up from that one. It's lighter
Seems to pick up coins a couple inches deeper. Like the bigger coil. The bluetooth and that its waterproof. I'm still learning all the features on it.
