Dug my first law enforcement badge. Deputy Constable A.J. Norton Las Vegas Nevada. Looks to be TWS next to Las Vegas. Maybe stands for Township? 1930โ€™s era. Very nice find. It would be a nice gesture if you could research the family and return it to a close surviving family member. I know they would appreciate it.

What a very cool find, a return to the family if possible would be epic:icon_thumleft:

Outstanding find! The white ring around the state seal was popular during the 1930'-1950's. West coast badge manufacturers LA Stamp & Staty, Entenmann, and Geo. Shenck used the white ring extensively. Can't really tell, but if the clasp is what is referred to as a "horseshoe" style of safety catch, then it also dates from those decades. A rare and wonderful piece. Sub 8-)

You don't see too many LEO badges found. I've been hunting since 1977 and have dug only one.

Very cool find. I wonder how something like that gets lost. Looks like you got some good information and suggestions here too. Congrats!

Found it in a dump so Iโ€™m thinking he died and someone cleaned out his drawers.

Great find! Perhaps take it to a jewelry store. They should be able to soak it or give it a whirl in their cleaners!!!
