here are some of my recent digs, got out today with Brent, Craig and FFD and had a good time. Finally pulled a LC from about 7 inches. It's holed and in rough shape, and may not be able to get a date off of it, but I'm still happy about it. Also, a 39 quarter, a 44 war nickel, and a nice sterling ring. thanks for looking all, HH, Griff

thanks D, the quarter I dug ealier in the week at a sidewalk strip off Ganson st. while out running errands. (that hunt was about 15 minutes and the wife doesn't know about it ;D ) Anyway, that LC is not cleaning up at all....the peroxide changes nothing, I'm really wondering if it might be a counterfeit. It doesn't seem like a copper coin to me. any ideas?

Nice finds brother!! Man that large cent is a little beat up, but I'd still be freaking happy!!! It was nice getting together with the three of you today....sorry I had to bail and do my brakes and cut grass.....maybe I'll have more "Griff Time" next time!!

Big congrats on your first LC bro. :hello2: Was great to be there when you dug it. Cool assortment of finds you pulled. That yard produced even though it seemed like a slow start. Congrats on the war nic and silver ring. I like the token and Boy Scout piece also. Was fun getting out with you guys!!

Nice finds, like the ring, and Congrats on your LC!

I soaked my one and only LC(thus far) in olive oil for about 2months. I wasn't
able to get a date off it, but the olive oil did bring up a silhouette image
of lady liberty.

Good luck,
HH.

Nice assortment of finds, Josh. WTG on the LC, counterfeit or not. :hello2: It doesn't appear to have the normal copper patina. :icon_scratch:
