That's a strange thing to find in the Virgin Islands! Maybe it was used to harvest resin from local trees?

I'd go with a barrel tap.
 

Congrats on some nice finds. The pipe thing does appear to be a tree tap for sap or maple syrup.
 

Definitely a pirate relic! Congratulations on your finds. I hope to see many posts from some island hopping adventures. You could find anything from any time period.
