Hello everyone,
I did some calling on the phone today to some banks to see if they have halves. The second bank I called said they had $80 worth. So road trip here we come(not really only a 15min. drive).
I went in an got them(didnt even ask if I have an account, I don't :D)

I also hit three other banks on the way home, 1 roll at one bank, 3 rolls at the other. I dont have an account at any of them ;D ;D ;D

Not sure how the break up per bank went but final result was my first BEN FRANKLIN HALF 1961...

Also 3 1964 halves
and 8 40% halves

NOT BAD FOR AN HOUR WORTH OF WORK

remember stop at all banks, ya NEVER know

Happy Hunting,
Jason

congrats. that's a nice haul. hmmm...12 rolls....12 keepers. let me do some quick math.....(this may take some time)....WOW! you averaged one keeper per roll. it gets better when you consider that 33% of your finds were 90's! wooooohoooooooo!!!

that's why i like bankhoppin'.

First one always feels the best. Grats!

Is the one in your avatar the one you just found? If so, did you clean it?

~Dave

Yes i did clean it... I know everyone says not to clean and I dont if the coin has numistic value other than the silver content. Silver halves I find I wipe with a silver cream and put them in a 2x2 and then into a three ring binder. My kids love looking thru the binder and seeing all of the sparkling silver :icon_sunny:
Thanks for looking,
Jason

Cleaning no matter what the value of the coin is up to the person who owns it. If you like the looks, then clean away. ;)

They do look darn pretty when cleaned, but its just something personally I don't do to my coins.

Ju8vp3t and LJ both appear to be pretty ladies but neither (no offense ladies) will ever be as good looking as that gal wrapped in the American flag! that gal is the queen! :love4:
