Minelab Explorer SE Pro, EQ800 Aug 10, 2015 #2 That's a mercury or liberty dime minted from 1916 to 1945. Barber dimes were minted from 1892 through 1915. What you want on that particular coin is a 1942, 2 over 1 mint error. Still a great find! Would your old machine have found it or?? HH ALL
