Hunted a house that dates back to the late forties.Its along the water.I thought to myself nah that cant be what I think it is"likely just another aluminum can"but when I saw that hint of silver catch my eye,I was jumping around like a crazy person!! Happy New Year!!

nice silver! i found this 85 dime a few days ago on my own property i probley dropped it myself 20 years ago. what year did canada make silver dimes till. if this was american it would be brown by now. willy.

Canada used silver up until 1964 or 1965. I know they had some quarters that were half silver in 1968, but i'm not sure why.

Silver was used right up till 1968 here in Canada.!In 1968 they made clad and silver at the same time,granted the .silver content was 500 silver 500 copper. Before that it was 800 silver /200 copper.
