Hi, Short 40 minute hunt today at my old standby, the local elementary school down the street. Built in 1958, I have been hunting there since last year. It has been very productive for clad paying for batteries.. I figure that it's produced about $20.00 to $25.00 dollars in clad (plus a few wheat's) but no silver. Today I started in one of the last areas I haven't hit too hard yet and got a solid dime hit at 4 to 5 inches. Well out pop's this nice silver pendant with what I think is Hebrew writing on it. It's marked 925 on the back and as far as I'm concerned it's just as good as a silver dime. Maybe my luck is changing... Take Care Midnightguy

Nice find! Could be a religious pendant..wish I could help you on the translation part.

I really enjoy seeing this type of find, their uniqueness makes them rare.

Hi Again, I took a closer look at the writing and it doesn't look like Hebrew though it may represent an image of something written that stands for something. Any help? Kinda of looks like a grape leaf shape. Maybe its Greek. Just can't tell. Thanks to all for the kind replies.. HH Midnightguy

Nice silver pendant!

Maybe a close up would help ID it.

Here's a close up of the writing. I'm starting to think that this writing is just an image of some religious statement that would be too small to write in full on such a small pendant.. The pendant is about an inch long. Thanks Again Midnightguy
