The snow finally hit W PA this weekend.
(A little nearby ravine exploring with my 11 yr old after sledding.)
Had to postpone a hunt with a buddy to explore a new site, but made it out into the wet snow for a couple of short hunts at a couple of my pounded sites.
Easy signals are no longer there, iffy hightones also gone, this was a hunt focused on iffy mid tones. First good signal was an old thin brass ring. Bounced 18 to -6.
Here is the handful of oldies.
Shout out to the What’s It guys on Tnet for ID’ing this padlock as a Eagle 3 Lever, mid 1800’s.
Here’s a nicer one from the web, mine has a number 12 at the top of the loop.
Then found a nice sunflower motif handle.
Here is the handful of the more modern stuff.
And a little shiny at the coinstar picking up groceries tonight.
As of Monday afternoon, all the snow has melted and back into the 40’s, hopeful for a window to do some exploring this weekend!
Good luck out there!!
