One of the local branches I left my name and number at gave me a ring and said they had $400 CWR that someone just dropped off. Was about to go on lunch to pick up one of my weekly box orders and luckily this branch was on the way. Stopped in, grabbed them and headed to the car to unwrap.

They weren't super old looking rolls, but they had what I assume is the depositors initials on them. I was about 10 rolls in when I heard that familiar *clank* as some silver toppled out of the roll.

Fourteen in the roll, all 40%! A nice little two ounce score! As I kept unrolling, I'd get one here or there until I peeked into one roll and saw a silver ender.... and a silver on the other end...

After four and a half years and hundreds of bank drop ins, we finally scored ONE solid roll! A 40% roll, but a solid one. It's hard to believe it's taken this long to happen, and it wasn't even from one of my drop ins. It was from a call from where I left my number.

One more roll in the batch had six and in total we pulled 43 x 40% from the lot, or 6.36 ozt 8-) which is our best CWR score to date, beating out every one of our hundred-something-mile round trip "fun runs."

Not sure why you have a rubber glove on in your car but that's super creepy! Bwahaha!
Great score!!!

It's actually because I have a nickel allergy and of course, most modern coins are composed mostly of nickel. I'll get a little itchy rash on my fingers being exposed.

Not the greatest condition for a coin collector to have, but the gloves do the trick! Plus my hands don't get filthy, which is also a plus.

Nice catch, right place, right time. Congrats on your first SOLID roll. Mine finally appeared last Oct., but as 10-solid teller rolls ( less 2-clad coins ). What a nice feeling you had for sure, for days probably.

Congrats! And you have one great teller there. The "dirty hand" is usually all we get!
