I went back to the beach where I found the two rings and the chain by sight. This time I brought a Vibra Tector 730. It has its limitations but I found a platinum ring, a 14k white gold ring, a 1958 Benjamin 1/2 dollar, and about $60 in clad. This was in about 5hrs of detecting over a four day period. I couldn't do the area where I found the other stuff before cause it was a little too deep to do properly with the Vibra Tec.

The two rings are in front (natch) as is the Benjamin. Behind are two cool looking clad quarters and an unidentifiable coin that looks like it may be silver.
It was too much fun. I'm going to start another post to ask how to get into the sport more.
